Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
Mitsubishi Motors manufactured a high performance two litre turbocharged engined sports car which is rolling with its all wheel drive system.
Mitsubishi Motors officially released ten generations of Lancer Evolution since 1992 until today.
Evolution I
The first "Evo" has two versions, the GSR and the RS.
The only difference with the two is that the RS doesnt have power windows and seats , no anti-lock brakes, no rear wiper and had only steel rims while the GSR version came with all of the conveniences added with digital screen climate control system.

Evolution II
The second "Evo" is the upgraded version of the first Evolution.It is mainly improved on its Handling including minor wheelbase adjustments, lighter front swaybar, larger spoiler, and wider tires.

Evolution III
The third "Evo" is powered with higher compression ratio than before wrapped with new nose moulding, new side skirts, and wider spoiler to reduce height.

This generation of the "Evolution" was completely changed. It can be distinguished easily because of its two large fog lamps. This generation has two versions, the RS and GSR, The RS version used thinner body and glass on its chassis rolling with its optional size 16 or 17 lightweight mags.Glx seats and Air Conditioning system is optional in the RS version . The GSR and RS is both powered with twin scroll turbocharger which helped to increase power. The difference with the two is that the GSR version optionally offered an "Active Yaw Control" that made this generation sold quickly. This generation is somehow heavier than the past generation but to counter, this generation can produce more torque and power.

This generation made many changes on the aspect of this car. Recaro Seats are used and the body kit flared arches, new alum rear spoiler with adjustable angle are installed, and tires are widened to accomodate "Brembo" braking system. Its Turbocharger was again improved to give it a higher horsepower.

Evolution VI
This generation of the "Evo" focused mainly on its cooling and engine durability. Its two large fog lamps were reduced and placed on the corner side to give space on the airflow for the cooling system. This generation has two versions, the GSR and RS but this time there are also two versions under the RS version, the RS Sprint which is designed for Sprint Racing and the RS2 which offers some of the GSR options. Surprisingly a special version was released, it is called the Evo 6.5 , 6 1/2 or TME, it was deisgned after a Finnish rally driver named Tommi Makinen .

This generation is the first series to race in WRC using the WRC rules. The GT-A version is a all new bodied generation which used engine with higher torque. Its sleek headlights and revised bumber gave it a sexier look. It is the first automatic car on the line up.

Again modified with wider wheels to accomodate Brembo Brakes and Bilstein Shocks to better handle a 5 speed manual gearbox. There are four versions in this generation. The RS means Rally Sport with revised 5 speed, MR RS with 6 speed tranny, GSR 5speed tranny with Super Active Yaw Control,and lastly MR GSR with 6 speed tranny rolling with alum BBS wheels .

This generation offerred many version depending on the location of introduction. In Asia, Japan and Europe, there are 6 versions. The RS with 5 bspeed tranny, the MR RS with 6 speed tranny, GT with revised 5 speed and offers some GSR features, GSR with 6 speed with Super Active Yaw Control, MR GSR, the same with GSR but with 17 alloy rims and lastly the MR tuned by RalliArt.
In UK, the Evo IX has three versions.First is the FQ 300 , 320 , 340 with 6 speed tranny and Super Active Yaw Control, second FQ 360 with 6 speed tranny and Super Yaw Control but this time with RalliArt Meter Kit, and lastly MR FQ 360 powered with new turbo technology.
In US, there are four versions, STANDARD with revised 5 speed tranny, RS with revised 5 speed tranny with alum roof, SE with lighter body installed with Recaro Seats and lastly the MR with 6 speed tranny.

Evolution X
This generation offers all new body features including new specifications. It is powered by a 2,0l JDM version engine. Two versions are offerred in US, the MR with 6 speed twin clutch tranny, and the GSR with 5 speed tranny.
